Topic: Where can I buy MS Visual C++ 6.0? (Read 3225 times)

Or whatever software is needed to make a stab, someday, at creating missions for SFC OP? It's my understanding that I'll need the professional version of MS VC++ version 6.0.

Any info is most appreciated.

I've had no luck on EBAY. That was the first place I tried. I'll keep searching there, but I'm surprised it's so hard to find.

Does one have to have the Pro edition? won't any other do?

I'm using the standard edition, but I see no reason why any of the others wouldn't also be adequate. So long as its VC++ 6.0 SP5, is the main thing.

Thanks guys for the help. I won the bid on the standard edition, and it looks as if I'm going to be getting a number of instructional books on VC at a pretty good deal. It will take me quite some time, but over the next year or so I'll be using it as a homeschool teaching subject for my son. I'm sure in no time he'll begin to catch on. He already scares me how fast he seems to learn when it is a subject that he's interested in.

I know I've learned a TON about computers from the SFC community. I'm pumped at the thought of working on some scripts in the coming months!!!

BTW, can anyone give me a checklist of useful items, program, tools, to be able to write and/or modify scripts for SFC OP? Thanks again.
