Hey, patience WILL pay off here.

I try to think of stuff like this as Christmas or birthday presents. You know the day will arrive, it's just tough to sit it out though.

Just think of the great time you'll have flying the Tempest and Andor, side-by-side, blasting Klingons and Orion Pirates!

Cool Andor variation! Can't wait to play with this one.

Would still be cool to see a really great remake of the original TMP Andor, though.

Smiley's in the middle of exams right now. Once he's done, he'll get back into it. I think he's going to complete the Tempest first and then the Andor.

Smiley has allot of projects going on Plus school, Plus work, plus Exams so he is pretty busy. He completed one ship and has many more on the board and a mod or two that is eatting up his time. Also this is the time of year were his job is the most demanding as well.

It will be finished but doing a texturing job is a very long process
and he has to adjust the mess and textures as he goes, and can have small changes in the model cause drastic changes in textures or vice versa.

He hasn't forgotten about it it is just going to be hard for him to find time before the holidays.

I deeply apologized if I implied anything. This thread had gotten SO far down the list that I was afraid that it had been forgotten and, as stated before, this is a really beautiful ship. That other monster is pretty too. Looks like it would pack quite a punch. On a side note, what would it "cost" me to get a design built? I have ZERO artistic skill but would love to see a couple of models created.

Depends on what kind of design it is, how many views of the design you have....etc
Post pictures in the forum and see who bites, you'll find that some modellers restrict what they make to certain eras or races - and many already have a lot of designs queued in their respective build lists already!
