New eBay email scam
« on: November 11, 2003, 06:14:25 am »
They keep trying and trying and trying, they are the Energizer Bunny of scam artists. Unfortunately they also keep getting better at making their letters look legit. Here is the latest one that I received.

Looks pretty good doesn't it although they still are a little lax in their proof reading. I wonder how many suckers they will get from this one.
Note: I did add a space into their link so nobody goes there by accident.

I figure ignoring any email real or bogus from eBay is the way to go. If they seriously have a problem, I'm sure they would notify you more than once.

I just automatically forward this garbage to eBays abuse department on the odd chance that they may be able to something about it. Since many of these scams originate off shore there is likely nothing that can be done unfortunately.
