The one with fonts in SFC3

OK. So here is my question: We'd like to translate SFC3 to Czech, but since our language contains several special character that SFC3 doesn't currently support I was wondering how to change fonts in the game so that these new characters are supported... Are we talking about those .bft files in the SFC3\Assets\aafonts directory or are there som else yet? How could and should I change my Czech TTF fonts to SFC3 compatible ones? Thanx beforehand to anybody helpful.
