Just thinking about putting together a real small mod. Just add a couple ships, talk real nice to Pelican and EL Karnak for some missions that would run on a otherwise stock setting servers (would need a lower payout) some of the fun ones like the old TNZ mission, or the convoy escort mission, plus the base and planet defense missions? Also thinking of putting the mod up in multiple installers as well as 1 "big" installers. Gotta remember those poor souls on dial up Any opinions or ideas would be welcome from one and all. Wash edited for my awful spelling. oh wow a spell checker yehaaa

I can provide you with the missions no problem.
Though I should point out I have something similar in the works. Probably more ships than you intended. I set the limit for the mod at "25MB" - I figure that's small enough for even 56K'ers to download. I hadn't decided whether to use the DomWars Settings or make it from stock though.

yep similar. Im only thinking of giving the feds and klinks a "real" BB and adding some more of the interesting missions. Maybe we could call them lite and extra lite with less carbs

Actually KOTH Smiley and I were going to do that for LB3 a year ago. He is now making some models and just MSNd me last night and was going to do the same thing. Wash, you and Smiley need to get together.

I'll probably make mine with DomWars specs then... I've always meant to do a "mini" version of DomWars. Designed to be a sampler for those who aren't certain as to whether they want to play the full mod. (and it makes a nice, small, alternative to the stock game...)
I think the missions I sent to NDF will work fine, I just need pp lists. Request permission for the Admin Group (if you're making a mod for a server, you qualify - it's there for admins to help each other). You'll find a list of my missions there, and info that I need to create your customised versions.

Do you actually NEED more models to mod a server or just an expanded items lists for all the gf files, so for example the vorcha model can come with a plausible lite medium and heavy version but all point at the vorcha model?????

No you don't need more models to make a mod. You can make different "versions" of the same ship. If you want, take a K'Tinga, add more mass and Whamo it's a CA. All you need to do is add a line to the DefaultCore and DefaultLoadOut (and class it as a CA).
I think Wash is trying to do is "add" a true BB to both the Fed's and Clinks and add some fun missions. The stock ones are , well, boring.

I never thought of making a "Mini mod" based on one of the main mods available (GAW, Dowwar, etc.). That actually is a great promotional idea to attract people that just play Un-modded SFC3 or are newbie players. Its also a great idea for 56kers' (like myself) that want to try out a mod in a smaller format, especailly if you have limited hard drive space.
