Saved games

Hello All, can someone advise me if it is possible to use the saved game files in SFC3 (the .sds files) in a fresh installation of SFC3? Had issues with the last installation and had to uninstall the game and now want to carry on if possible, is it okay to do this or do I have to start over?

Had heard from days of yore where Activision had support for SFC3 that the saved game would become corrupted and that we were advised to save each game seperately, is this still right?

Well I have not tried to use saved games in a fresh install,so I dunno.

Well the worst that can happen is that it just does the same thing, and I have to uninstall and start over again maybe?

Anyone else have an idea if this would work?

I might give it a go and see what happens, failing that I'll save each game seperately and see how that goes...

Its best to just start all over again.

If you are using a different patch on re install you have to delete the old saved games.
On re installs its usually best to delete all program files before reinstalling.

Every time i have tried it it has wound up corrupting the game.

Going to do a fresh install today. Not going to try and use previous saves.

Dunno why you moved the post here cos I don't play online...  ???
