Topic: Bad Items

I  found recently when trying to join "Alt B", "Alt A" and even  "Another Day" servers I was getting "Bad Items" message  and was not allowed to join the Dynaverse.

I've done a complete reinstall w/ the 534 b patch and still get these errors. Am I missing something?(like a 534C patch?) The Bad items are "Hull CRC" and "Loadout CRC"(something like that...it's not a real long goup...but enough that I am locked out.  Any help is appreciated.

Hey Feeble.

If you read the description of "Alternate B", you'll find out that even though it's using the 534b version of the patch, there is still a small file that you will need to download and run in order to play the game.

Why?  I'm not sure.  But the web address where you can get it is listed there.

Surprised so much time has gone bye and no one has pointed that out, but there you go.

Boy, am I sorry I didn't get here sooner. Real life has kept me away from most forums for over a week.

Azrael, thank you for pointing out the small download item to FeebleEffort.

As for the "why" of Alternate B having the small download, our players wanted the klingons and federation to have BB's and we obliged them. We took the opportunity to add in a few new missions (provided courtesy of ThePelican). Total size of the download  is 3.3 MB. We wanted to keep it small enough that even those people using dial-up wouldn't spend a lot of time downloading it.
