How's about supply and demand? ATVI dumps their license and has to get rid of it's stock of the games. No more games being created or distributed shortly (relatively) after games release means it's in shorter supply. People want it and they'll pay, or at least people percieve there is a shortage and there are those who are willing to take advantage of it to make a big magin. That's the American way, right?

It was all the legal trouble with Activision and Paramount that did it, Activision don't support the game anymore

It was all the legal trouble with Activision and Paramount that did it, Activision don't support the game anymore, and they don't sell it either. Add in the fact that it is, with exception of Elite Force 2, the most recent star trek game made. The added advantage is it's truly 3D engine, (SFC while a decent game is hardly what you can call 3D) and ease of modification along with the huge number of mods on www.bcfiles.com means that it's a very desirable game. Of cause it's dated now, even my own Star Trek Trader creation rival's it's graphics engine, but then I am using DX 9 :-)
