lol, i didn't design the gorn, that was atolm, talk to him about it and make sure you make it point that he needs to learn PS 7.0 because he has officially maxed out paint

Wow,

This is a great day. A new set of ISC ships on the way and now new Gorn fleet (hopefully?) I really like these new models that mesh well with old design and new.

Now if someone could do that for the Hydrans I would be happy! Well, Thull's old designs are pretty cool and I still have them all stashed up.

Red_Green redid the Hydrans not too long ago. Check in this folder, you should find 'em.

Impressive indeed. I'm not a gorn lover by any means but this is excellent. Might even be able to pull off a federation set of textures with a bit of mesh editing I reckon.

Love the ship, love the textures, but hate the poly count. Ever tried to get a 3k+ship to load in homeworld? I tried everything to get the polygon count to drop in Max5 but it just crashes as soon as I invoke the optimize or polychop features. Anyone have any ideas as to why this happens or how to fix it? Oh and thanks in advance.

3k is about the norm for most sfc ships

howeve try selecting all the points, welding them w/ a .00001 and then apply the optimize, that might work (just use smooth after wards and detach the smoothing groups to the mesh)
