Is there a tutorial for how to use ship edit?

I would love to use the ship edit program but I'm afraid I don't know how. Is there a tutorial for it, something like a guide.

 SHIPEDIT 3.0 MANUAL can be found in the folders of shipedit eaw, op is the same but with more weapons and x-ship
