Change weapon name? Man, I have been trying to figure that out, how is it done? Is it just the weapon items file, or is it in the strings also?? Are you allowed to help me ascend, or do I have to walk the path myself? (some Stargate jargon there)

How many polygons per mesh/model cus i have a nice Hat'ak here that u can use for the Goa'uld, Tok'ra od the fre Jaffa... its jus bout 10k polys

ill be sending the mesh converted to F_W he can tell if its suitable for the game or not

its a case of changing alot of files in the common settings and such once ive managed to get it working i plan to release a single replaced wepon that will work with the Last DomWars mod and an umodded game with only that way you can find the places and the ways ive changed them so you can do your own

UPDATE:
im getting started on the main weapons, although i need some canon knowledge stuff filled in as ive missed alot of the uber battles in space stuff. so give me some help sorting this out
Heres what i have so far
SGC: Missiles and Bullets (* bullets are giving me a hard time Klink Poleron torp is my best bet of making a missile* any beam weapons and what they look like would be nice)
Goauld/Tok'Ra: standard gigantic staff weapon things *SGSWT for short* (done by recolouring Klink Disrupters)
Asgaurd: i assume beam weapons either blue or white (again what colour and pics would be helpful)
Wraith: unknown (pics and descriptions would be cool)
Replicators: mixture of all the above as its stolen tech
Ori: No clue im going to say Purple beams (hope im right)

also some names for the weapons will help (as i dont think they are mentioned) for when ive figured out how to do rename them (should hopefully catch Riptide online tonight and see what he knows)

i have DD's Models if i could get the others i can deal with scaling and compatability.

Also question for DD can i modify your Supergate to include an wormhole forming and stable (will post a pic of what i mean shortly

Ooo, that is a good idea, the only critique I would have is, can you spread them out a little bit, that is the only thing, otherwise it looks like the rail guns on SGA. Man, I am on pins and needles for this mod!!

Another update.
I've spoken to Riptide he will alter the Wolf 359 mission to include a Supergate, (Ori ships if Skinman doesnt mind us using them passing them over to me) also a few other mission changes that allow for the Stargate ships to be used in missions.
also a possible Antartica or other planet scape mission

Another update on weapon status
Asgaurd and Gouald primary weapoms:




im not aure if these are right but there is a lack of light pulse weapons in SFC3.

im thinking of tapping the Heavy weapons, this would be limiting but Stargate doesnt really use that many types of weapons so it could work (means the game will have a very strange refit system)

Those phasers to bullets look really good, better then I ever would have expected. One thing I can't tell from the picture, do the apparent bullets travel, or do the stay still, sorta hang?

I Directed BorgCollective to this link... He just made a totally awesome Apophis mothership but it needs texturing and he also needs it turned into a .nif for BC...
