DirectX and Video Card Question
« on: December 19, 2006, 11:53:12 pm »
I'd like to know which version of directx is required to play in D2  campaigns? I currently have 9.0c, will that work?

My second question has to do with directx soundcard compatibility and is related to the first. I'm currently looking to get a new video card for my pc, to replace an old card. The problem is my pc is old and i can only get a PCI card (not to be confused with PCI express) so therefore my choice of cards is quite limited. I'm thinking of getting a PNY GeForce FX 5200 256MB PCI card. Now it does say that it is compatible with directx 9.0 and below, but what about 9.0c? If its not or i need a higher version of directx to play in D2 then i'm really screwed cause i couldnt find any PCI cards that support anything above directx 9.0.

If any of you folks know the answers please let me know.
