So something caught my eye as I was looking this little toy over the other day: built in Wi-Fi. Originally I thought the iPhone would not be suitable for me, as I would not want to pay all the money I would have to in order to use the data services, but realizing that it hs built in Wi-Fi changes things in my mind. I'm thinking this thing might jsut be what I want if I could just use the phone as only a phone, go to a coffee shop or someother place with free Wi Fi to look up my email, maps, surf the web, etc, and also have an iPod handy.
Of course, there is a catch: will I be able to just sign up for a regular account sans the overpriced and underpowered data package? If yes, I just might break with my traditions and buy a first gen iPhone, but if not, no way, I pay cingular enough already, no need to pay them more. Does anyone have any idea of what cingular has in store for this toy as far as plans goes?
