Dynaverse.Net has obtained the Directory Servers for SFC3.

As of tonight, the directory services are up and running.

You can download the Directory Services patch HERE : ftp://ftp.dynaverse.net/sfc3/Patches/sfc3_directory_server_updater.exe

Just copy and paste that into a browser if the direct link doesn't work for some reason and you should be downloading.

We'd like to thank S31-IKV and our un-named benefactor for their invaluable support in this endeavor, it couldn't have been done without ya'll !

Agreed!!! This game(s) is deep enough that it could be a Trek franchise unto itself, IMO.

The gfl does not have their server up.
I'm sure we'll have it back up shortly.
Our server PC seems to be unaccessible at the moment...

Ya'll. while I appreciate the sentiments, this was by far a community thing.

We're honoured that most in the community believe D.Net the place to have the SFC3 Directory servers run, and we'll do our part.

Now you have to do yours... HAVE A BLAST and play !

P.S. Any of you SFC3 Campaign Admins feel free to contact me if you've modified your serverkit to list on the new directory services. I'd like to know specific steps in exactly what you did in regards to changes on the .gf's for documentation purposes.

Heh, well, like I said, it wasn't just me... I cannot take even close to full credit on this.

Let me just say this - there are people who obviously really care about this community (the entire community, not EAW , not OP, not SFC3 - everyone!), and we should ALL keep that in mind.

Say a prayer, burn some incense, whatever you do to thank those people. We're just here @ D.Net to serve the community and make sure no one makes you PAY to play any of these awesome games. And just to state it incase some one doesn't know - of course the SFC3 Directory servers will be hosted FOR FREE, there will NEVER be a charge or a "pay to play" thing here @ D.Net.

Just a note... I downloaded the sfc3 directory server beta patch.... ran it to a seperate folder, then copied & pasted the new access server gf to the C:\Program Files\Activision\Sfc3\MetaAssets\ClientSettings folder,
then started the sfc3 server with no changes to any files, started sfc3... and everything connected without a glitch.... servers were up & running, and the access server connection & login time was much shorter....

D.net does it again!!!! u guys are incredible !!!!!

Its definitely a faster connection

I was able to log on to the dynaverse successfully, but I came back a little later and i kept getting stuck on the 90 second countdown. It would get down to the 30 second countdown and just stayed there. I even let it sit there for about 5 minutes and it still did nothing. Has anyone experienced that? I'm definitely glad to see that we will still be able to play SFC3, and I too, am very grateful for those responsible for bringing the game back.

Hey fellas, Im kinda having a problem getting onto the new dynaverse. Way earlier today, I had logged in with no problems, and then a couple of hours after that and still now, I get the 90 second countdown. It countdowns to 30 and then does nothing else. I havent tried to adjust my router settings or anything. Spent hours trying to log in. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
