I did Bernard.. but I decided eventually that if I used some of those, it wouldn't work quite as well as what I had.  :)

And I'd stretch the other occupant of the Pod too much if I did.. so I left it as is.  :)

On the plus side though, I've just sent MP email with the finished Pods for SFC 1, SFC 2, and SFC 3 attached.  :D

Next stage is up to MP.. I'd imagine credits and release, but F_W had also offered to help on this as well.. (?)

ModelsPlease,

Your original Travel Pod had 2 versions, a large version and a scaled down version.  Your latest update of the Travel Pod only has the large version.  Is there any chance you could also provide a scaled down version.  The large version is about the height of the pylon that connects the Enterprise Primary Hull (the Saucer) to the Secondary Hull (the Cylinder).

ModelsPlease,

Thank you for the scaled down version.  However, now the large version of the Travel Pod is no longer in the file.  You may want to include both the large version and the small version of the Travel Pod for others to use in SFC.  Fortunately for me I have both versions for SFC1.

Thanks again,

Hi Alec,

Thank you sir, but that will not be necessary.  The small version of the Travel Pod works fine in SFC1, no conversions required.

ModelsPlease,

I apologize for the confusion.  You are right I would not want the Travel Pod the size of the Enterprise nacelle.  Allow me to clarify by saying you may want  to provide 2 sizes of the Travel Pod, a scaled down size and a size a litte bit larger to allow gamers to see the Travel Pod during game play (and appreciate the details), like you did with the 2 sizes of your original Travel Pod.

Hope this helps clear up any confusion,

Hey Alec,

As promised here are some screen shots of the Travel Pod and the Drydock from TMP via SFC1.  I also, included shots of V'ger encountering the Klingons that I created in March 2004.  In February 2004 I created V'ger using the Planet Jupiter Mod that came with SFC1 and used a DVD image from TMP of V'ger that was uploaded to the web as the Planet Jupiter's bitmaps.  Then I assigned the V'ger Mod to the Nuetral Star so I could fly through it and assigned it to the Doomsday Machine so I could fight it.  Atrahasis touch up my V'ger Mod and I think he made a SFC2 version of it.

Thanks guys for the compliments.  For me it is December 07, 1979 again.  I now get to live in the world of "Star Trek:  The Motion Picture".  I am one of the few fans that liked this film and wished Paramount had made sequels to it instead of altering things in the sequels we got.  Now, thanks to the many artist involved I get to escape to this world, I have been waiting  for this for a long time.  To paraphrase Will Decker, "I want this!  More than Capt. Kirk wanted the Enterprise, I want this.".  The only thing missing is the V'ger Cylindrical Ship and the Epsilon 9 Spacestation, but I can live without them.  I enjoyed every minute I spent setting up those screen shots in SFC1, it was pure escapism.  The nuerons in my brain were excited, firing off electrons to the pleasure center of my brain from taking these pictures.

A special thanks to all of the artist that made this possible:

01.  ModelsPlease, Atheorhaven, Alain Rivard and Fallen_Warrior for the Travel Pod.

02.  Atrahasis for the Deacon Spacestation, Drydock, Vulcan Shuttle Surak (with sled and without),
Starfleet Shuttle Galileo 7 (with sled and without), and improved V'ger Cloud.

03. Chris Burks and John Stone for the Work Bee.

04.  WickedZombie45 for the upgraded Enterprise.

The human adventure is just beginning...
