Stupid question, why do you need 2 routers?

That's a strange set up with 2 routers...I'm not sure. Can you access the Vonnage one and see if there are firewalls, etc?
I have no idea about the whole Vonnage thing, but you were on before w/o it, so that obviously is holding you back...

Do you have RIP set up?
If so, which direction is RIP setup as?
and is it RIPv1 or RIPv2B or RIPv2M?

If you don't you might need to.

Just another stupid question.

Why in the world would you get Vonage at all when all you have to do is get digital phone.. both are cable, one is by your cable company, and your cable company will give you a deal and price lock where Vonage will bleed you out with hidden fees.

I'm with Time Warner.. I have Digital Cable @ 310 channels, Digital Road Runner Turbo 10Mbps down 1Mbsp up, and I have Nationwide Digital Phone (no long distance bill).. All together costs me $109 a month after taxes - price locked for 1 year, which after a year I can renew the price lock, or sign up for a new package that may have more savings..

It saves me about $30 a month over having TWC and Vonage.. as compared with having just TWC total package.. They have packages as low as $89.99 + tax with regular Road Runner and Digital Local Phone.. comes out to about $94 ..

Still cheaper than having Vonage once the Vonage Intro Offer ends after 6 months. Also TWC gives you a $40 coupon that you either mail in or turn in to a local TWC office to take away any installation charges.. Vonage charged me $47 when I had them.. I quickly got rid of them..costs more than having AT&T phone service.

Well I have 2 routers because I have to use the one Vonage sent me,  I cant plug a phone jack into my original router.  And yes my vonage is cheaper then my cell phone bill and my Verizon telephone.  As far as Time Warner Cable and that uber package I don't have that privilege here where I live in the boons.  And I'm not sure about that RIP thing.

If the Vonage Router allows for Internet Connection, then I would just remove your old router.. this way you have only 1 router, and it should be configurable for DMZ or port forwarding.

RIP(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Routing_Information_Protocol) is a routing protocol that allows routers to basically learn other routers routes. so if information is coming through one router, and must go through another, RIP allows the first router to know that it must forward the information to the second router in order for it to reach the destination behind the second router.
RIP is usually configured in the GUI tools under LAN setup.

I'd highly recommend just removing the extra router unless you really need it... RIP can be kinda tricky to deal with on the GUI tool since it gives you such limited options compared with text configs in hyperterminal.
If you can't remove it for whatever reason though, you should read about RIP in your router manuals, and set it up.

if you have dual routers, plug your computer into the first one as normal.  I run my Cable modem, a ethernet switch, then a router for the other computers and wireless.  I plug into the switch if I want straignt access to my internet, should work with the first router also.

Speaking from personal experience, Vonage will butt**ck you if you give them half the chance. We tried it for a month until we got our first bill with lots of add on charges. We canceled the account the same day. My local cable company offers phone and internet access that is blazing fast. Never looked back.

I'd check with your local cable provider and find out what they offer, because if they offer phone and internet service as well as TV channels, you're bound to come out ahead in the long run as far as money is concerned.
