The server can run fine on Vista / Windows 7.. that isn't a problem.. it is the SFC OP client that suffers on the Vista / Windows 7 OS.

Server = good to run on Vista / Windows 7.. absolutely 0 issues.. it actually runs better on the 64 bit OS.

game client = Needing XP to play on a live D2 server for hex flipping..

Other than that.. game client can be used for DH's turn based idea without issue.

Game client on Windows 7 / Vista can also play single player, TCP/IP, and GSA without issues.


As for Server Kit.. it loves Windows 7, Vista (even more on x64 versions).

Yeah, you can play SFC VI.  Its such an awesome game.  So much better than OP was.

I think the working Tholian webs, improved fighter and fleet interfaces, and the plasma bolts really make the game.

Super sad thing is that while I have the time to do another server atm, it doesnt look like it will happen because sfcop only works on XP. We really need it to work in W7... unless everyone here has dual boot or XP... I doubt it. Servers dont work unless there are good player numbers.

sorry I didnt notice this topic sooner but so your not kept waiting around for Bonk, FYI he wont be showing around here anymore, at least not for a long while.
