this just in,
apparently the moon is shrinking?! in one of the most bizarre science stories i can recall from the recent past, this story hits that the LRO (Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter) is picking up more than just impact craters. the formations in question are called "lobate scarps". spotted and identified as early as Apollo 15, these escarpments were once thought to only occupy the equatorial region of the moon. now they are being seen all over.
