first up is an awesome story about a new find. a pro-ported dwarf "dark matter" galaxy next to our own milky way! at a mere 260,000 light years away, this dwarf galaxy is about 1% of the milky way galaxy in terms of mass. if confirmed it would be the first dark matter galaxy discovered. read the entire very intriguing article here: http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2011/01/110114-galaxy-x-space-dark-matter-dwarf-satellite-science-chakrabarti/

next up a story that scotty would be proud of. new flexible glass that is stronger than steel. while not quite transparent aluminum of star trek fame it is still a cool development and has lots of potential uses. read here: http://inhabitat.com/doe-develops-flexible-glass-material-that-is-stronger-than-steel/
