Venus and Jupiter are like...extremely close together in the western sky. Apart from the moon we are talking about the two brightest objects in the night sky, so it looks pretty cool.

Anyone else watching this?

been watching them for the past few days now. going to have to look down and see if I can see mercury. Have never seen it before.

mars is in the east sky after sunset also. it is way smaller and dimmer then Jupiter/Venus.

Highly suggest the freeware Stellarium program. Very easy to setup and as long as you know were you are by zipcode or lat/lon it will provide an easy to view check on what you see.

Been sitting out in the hammock after dark watching it over the lake with Rocky Patel and Arturo Fuente.

two good ones to sit, relax and watch the stars with. I do the same in the evening, but I walk, watch the stars, and running programming code/logic in my head.

I live on a Corps of Engineers lake and the sun sets to the west, over it.. great place to be at sunset and early evening.

would be nice. I live on the plains up in the north. Sun sets over fields or trees. Still nice to watch, but could be better.

Have seen it for atleast a month or more still do. Sooooo test anyone know the glow more? Prove that you are not a 5 year old ? What planet shines the most? My son wins this test with his answer.

By "shine", do you mean magnitude? That's Venus (assuming you aren't counting the moon as a planet). If you mean "is in the sky the most", then sheesh.. I'd have no idea. They all wander above and below the eclliptic, but I'd guess Jupiter since it is so far away it should spend longer making a full transit.

The glow , the light of the 2 what ever is more than the other. Venus is the one that shines. But LOL No matter the facts come out and im good with that!
