Who is the toughest red shirt in the Galaxy?

It is either the ecoterrorist Montgomery Scott or the guy who wears this uniform:

Santa has survived much longer than (the ecoterrorist) Mr. Scott, so the jury is out until one of them dies.

Why all the Klingon hate for Montgomery Scott? All he was trying to do was find the little critters a good home where they would be no tribble at all.

Because being the dirty animals that they are, the Klingons don't recognize this.  Also, as far as eco-terrorism goes what would you call the Klingon bombardment of the tribble homeworld?

Tribbles are vermin on any world without native species that will prey on them and will on such worlds cause ecological disasters.

Tribbles and Klingons are incompatible as species.

Even Kirk didn't want Tribbles on his ship.

Ecoterrorist Montgomery Scott was fully aware of these facts.  As was First Officer Spock who collaborated in the terrorism.

Finally it was the TNG Bonehead Klingons not the TOS Klingons who considered vermin extermination to be a war.  It shows how the Federation genetic warfare damaged the Klingon race dragging them down to the human level.  In any case the vermin infested Tribble home world was used as a source of terrorist weapons by the Federation scum either it had to go or the Federation did.  Removing the weapon source was more cost effective.

Finally remember Kor beat Kirk.  It took demigods to turn things into a draw.

Honorable mention to Mr. Kyle.  As a redshirt, he managed to survive Kirk, and even met and survived Khan (twice!), the second time being when he was serving on the Reliant under Captain Terrell...

We've also met Kyle's 'double' in the Mirror Universe.  Kyle has also appeared in the Star Trek Animated Series...

John Winston (the guy that plays Mr. Kyle)  has also appeared as Captain Jeffries in Star Trek New Voyages.

Kirk and Spock were captives and the Kor was in control.  Therefore Kor was the victor.  The Organians (demigods effectively) changed it to a draw.

The only reason Kirk and Spock were captives is because those "demigods" sold them out. Before that Kirk and Spock were rocking Kor's world. It's true that Kor had learned of their sabotage, but he would have executed both of them without even knowing what he had accomplished if Ayelborne hadn't told him.

First off, TOS Klingons and TNG Klingons are the same beast.  Second, tribbles were annihilated before the end of the 23rd century.

Kor also outnumbered Kirk.
