Just saw the youtube video for Mystic107/Spenny's Enterprise design.  I figured y'all would enjoy this if you haven't seen it already,  see if anyone here  has tackled the 3d render yet, or might be looking for a new thingie to model.

In the youtube video, he noted that he had not done a 3d render of it.  He has (since the youtube video was made) added  some preliminary renders to his Facebook page, with a good assortment of closeup pics and such.

Its strange that he should state about the "asthetically pleasing from any view" because IMHO this version looks far worse than all other versions of the enterprise I've seen. His choice of nacelle for starters does not match well to the saucer and speaking of saucer this one seems to just have a section cut of it. Whilst I will agree with some points of the Ent-D, what he fails to understand is that it was used as a long range explorer with family aspect heavily specified. Besides which, Rodenberry was happy with the Ent-D which is what I would say is more important......

This design looks nice. But like anyone designing a starship, the goal is to make it look as nice as possible from all angles. He's done a lot of work, but so has most anyone who has posted a model on this forum. Too bad he didn't enter his design into Star Trek Online's Next Enterprise Contest to see how it stacked up against other nice designs.
