Topic: SFC3 beta patch no longer available for Dload? (Read 898 times)

I have finally given up on Taldren putting out an "offical" patch for 3 anytime in the near future, and am trying to dload the beta patch. However, it appears Activision has taken it down?
I have tried both thru the Taldren dload site in the announcements forum and via the link(s) on SFC3.net.
Of course, this could be a good thing, in as much as they are about to release an "offical" patch, but I doubt my luck is that good.
Any help you could provide would be appreciated, as Im listening to Chris Jones' radio station and the First Contact battle scene and it really has me itching to lob a few quantums around for the first time about 4 months!
Thanks.

You are happy? Why, may I ask? It seems the bugs people took advantage of in following cloaked ships, one too terrible to mention here, and the problems with the Romulan fast disruptors and klingon Ion Cannon would make someone who wanted game balance to be happy.
I don't understand why it is a good thing.

Activision moved itfrom its support site to the SFC3 site. http://www.st-sfc3.com/downloads.phpSo it's not like Activision has totally disavowed the patch. That's the god news. The Bad news: None the DL link locates on Activision server. (they are all off site)

Thanks for the response guys, I appreciate it.
QUESTIONS:
1)Do we still need the DX9 patch, or is it included in the beta? 1a)IF we do still need it, do we install it before or after the beta? Im betting before, but best to be sure.
2)What all is in the Nemesis add-on patch, other than the scimitar? 2a)If I decided to install the Nemesis patch, it WOULD have to be prior to the beta, correct?
3)I should do this totally cold turkey, 100% nuking the prior install of SFC3, correct?
Again, thanks for the quick responses.

If you use the Beta patch, do not use the DX9 patch. The Nemesis material is included in the Beta patch.
Thanks,
Dave

Mr. Ferrell,
Stupid question I know but...
Is there going to be an "Official" patch or not? (I don't care about when, yet)

Woah, the Game related stuff from the nemesis patch is there, but the walpapers are NOT in the full patch. I bet its a size issue since I think the walpapers counted for 80% of the nemesis patch, which is why I think that was 10 megs...
