I believe i saw rules when i registered, but it would be nice if we had some place where they are posted, so that, just in case we didn't read them well enough, we can read them again.

I know the sketch well, so I can provide you with the complete rules list.

Rule One - No Poofters!
Rule Two - no member of the faculty is to maltreat the Abbos in any way at all -- if there's anybody watching.
Rule Three - No Poofters!!
Rule Four - now this term, I don't want to catch anybody not drinking.
Rule Five - No Poofters!
Rule Six - there is NO ... Rule Six.
Rule Seven - No Poofters!!

Aenigma  You are correct the rules were shown when you registerd and you had to agree to them. The people who need to read the rules never do or they read the rules to see how they can get around them.

I'm guessing that the whole Poofter thing was a joke, because you cant have that in a forum rules.

Well said.

However, many like that level of security. In an uncertain world people like to know where the white ends and the gray begins and that is what Aenigma is refering to.

Also there is the issue of the 'canned' rules that most forums have. The ability to review them is handy as most just want to "get on" the forums and pay little head to the disclaimer that you always see.

It is always handy to know why you are about to be banned, too.   ;D

Sethan,

Rule # 2 was violated more times than any of us care to mention on Taldren boards ... as early as today by Castrin himself in a post to the Near Distant Future Team.

Let's not leave rules open to interpretation, shall we?

Moderators -- at times -- didn't set a very clear example to follow, and not just in H&S.
