PC 1
Dual Athlon 2400XP (modded to MP)
ASUS motherboard
512meg RAM PC 2100
2x 120 GB Maxtor as a RAID array
CD/RW
Radeon 9000 128MB
NEC MultiSync FP1370 22" monitor (shared with PC 3)
Mitsumi keyboard (shared with PC 3)
400 Watt Antec PSU

PC 2
Dual Athlon 2100XP (modded to MP may update to 2600MP or 2800MP)
ASUS motherboard
512meg RAM PC 2100
40 GB Maxtor 80GB Maxtor  (has access to 2x120 gb on PC 1)
CD/RW
ASUS gForce Model ?? (very low video demand on system)
Sony Mutliscan 210GS 17"
Mitsumi keyboard
500 (?) Watt Antec PSU

PC 3
Athlon 3200XP
1024meg RAM PC 3200
80 GB Maxtor (has access to 2x120 gb on PC 1)
DVD Rom (Considering a DVD RW)
Radeon 9000 128MB
NEC MultiSync FP1370 22" monitor (shared with PC 1)
Mitsumi keyboard (shared with PC 1)
Sandisk flashcard reader.
550 Watt Enermax PSU

All 3 machines have 10/100 network cards and are connected to a USR Router with a serial modem on the router.  The router has a hardware firewall.  There is also a Lexmark inkjet (X75) shared by all machines.

My video demands are not high.  SETI output ~ 37.5 WUs /day if not playing games.

I have a 4th machine to overhaul that will go to a friend once he has a place for it (only a 350mhz PII).  Used to be my mothers till I swapped it for my #4 machine (Athlon 2400XP).  Its HD is failing and I will put in 1 (or 2) spare 40 GB drives.

A 5th machine (Athlon 1400) should show up, I gave it to a friend but he has no current need for it and it has some heating problems he wants me to solve (likely just a disconnected fan power from moving it too much), I'll upgrade it to Athlon 2100XP using a spare chip when and if it shows and put it to SETI until he needs it again.

Just kidding.
Shortly after I made my box operational rl kicked me in the nuts and I didn't follow through with the things I wanted to do.
Oh well. Next project is the athalon 64 with a bx form factor.. hopefully it takes me less than a year and a half...

Hey, likk,  me?  Check Mr.Cue's specs!  I think they more than edge mine out!

Anyhow, this is the first high-powered system in my life that I have owned.  Why?

Because I'm cheap.  I'm hoping that my Athlon 64 is going to last me MUCHO years and that my kid's AMD Barton 2500+ will keep him happy for the next few to several years.  Oh yeah, I can't afford to keep getting newer systems every couple of years!

It lights up like a Christmas tree and sounds like a jet engine when it starts up, lol.

I'm still using the onboard sound and video though. I use my stereo system for speakers. I built this computer myself about 10 months ago, at the time it was pretty good, although now it has already begun to become dated.

Here is my current system:

Asus P4C800-E Deluxe
Intel Pentium 4 / 2.8CGHz 512k socket 478 Hyper Threading Technology 800 MHz FSB
Swiftec MCX4000 Heat-Sink with Thermaltake fan
2 - CORSAIR 512MB PC3200 Value Select. VS512MB400 DDR RAM (1024MB Total)
Maxtor 120GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive
Western Digital 80GB 7200RPM ATA (133Mhz) Hard drive with 8Meg Buffer - connected to Secondary Slave IDE via Front Removable Drive Bay
Seagate 200GB 7200 SATA hard drive
Radion 9800 Pro 8x AGP Card with 256MB Ram
Lite-On 52x24x52x CD-RW & 16X DVD-ROM - connected to Secondary Master IDE
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 zs Gamer ? Limited Edition
19? Mitsubishi ? Diamond Pro 930sb CRT monitor
Logitech Z640 5.1 Speakers
3 1/2" Floppy: Basic Mitsumi
Thermaltake 480W W0010PFC
Antec PlusView 1000 AMG Case with four case fans (not including CPU or power supply)
Win2000 Pro SP4

I built this system around August 2003, it is starting to show it's age as well.  This thing still runs like a champ and does everything (and every game) I want to do.  I have to say though that if I had to build a system for myself today, I would probably build it on the same 478-pin frame and specs.  Except with a faster processor and Video card.  Until PCIe and SATA becomes the only standard I'll stick with what I have.  Although the Small Form Factor does look appealing, especially since I still lug my system to a occasional LAN party once an awhile.
