Introducing the U.S.S. Interceptor Class Starship NX-77197 (WIP)

Introducing the U.S.S. Interceptor Class Starship NX-77197 (Prototype)

This my first attempt at a Federation starship.  Hope you all like it.  It is based on the orginal design by Stuart Baldwin (narsil).  The textures were designed by narsil as well the specifications.  Poly count is currently at 2662.  I still need to do some texture mapping and tweaking.  Special thanks to Richard Mavery (mavek) for sending me his LW high poly so I could see how he modelled certain aspects of the ship.

Good looking design!

So, with its defensive specs, it'll be hard for a Borg cube to turn this cute little craft into an expanding cloud of glowing gas like those other cute little craft we saw in "Best of Both Worlds"?

wonderfull job. I've  had a close up look at intermechs version and this is probably one of the best post-voyager liniage designs so far.

For a low poly ship that's really cute. Not sure if I like it more than an Intrepid though... Much tweakage needed like you mentioned, but you got damn close for a first attempt with a Feddie. Maybe in the future you can return to this and add some raised details (like light mounts, strips, etc..

Once you get the texture issues dealt with it though will be a fine ship!

It looks like a sized-down, Sovereign-ized or Hot Rod-ized Intrepid-class.  It looks a tiny bit intimidating for a ship its size, and it's not too bad.  Not a ship of my taste though, but I still think it's not bad.

Either that or the crew had too much Romulan ale  (Funny how all the "Goody 2 shoes" Feddy Capts. are involved with contraban, huh.) the night before and the light hurts their eyes.  :puke:
If Romulans aren't cowards, then why do they taste like chicken?

Kirk was no goody-two-shoes; his boots were never on too long when he met a pretty alien chick.

Besides, it's an update!  He's not done with the model yet.

the textures are the only thing that bug me, they REALLY need more refined "outlines" dividing parts (like the bussards from the housings) a thinker black line would make it shine i think :)
Alternate universe:  Khan was banished for preserving the peace. The Genesis device was really a super weapon and kirk had planned to use it on the klingons. Chekov found the Botany Bay and khan hijakced and killed the evil reliant crew in an effort to destroy the genesis device.    Ahh i love it :D The alternate universe rocks.

Certainly isn't my cup of tea.  So what do you need, model, texture maps, and or both.

sorry to bump such an old topic but pepperman, what was the size on this ship? The website profile is dead now. I converted her to BC already, so someoen give me the size of it along time ago, I just can't find anywhere I may have written it down. I'm getting ready to hp it as I clean out my tng feds folder.

Visually compared the windows on the Intrepid and Prometheus to this one, window scale-wise.. it's between Intrepid and Prometheus:

Intrepid Length : 343 meters
Prometheus Length: 414 meters.

So scale it similarly to the Intrepid, and you should be good.  :)
..ooOOoo..totally useless information..ooOOoo..
