The D5 am I done or does it need some more detail
« on: January 22, 2007, 02:58:50 am »

The name is the class name RENEGADE, the letters on top are IKV

the two red dots are the add launchers, seemed like I had to put something back there otherwise it would look too plain

I agree as well.. maybe some more hull detailing and weathering, and it'll be grand.  Cheesy

I agree, age it a little. A Klingon with no scars is shameful.  Wink  Perhaps some hull plating detail on the rear.

Just my personal opinion, but it looks too large for a predecessor to the D6.  I'd double the size of the windows and make the shuttle bay taller.  But I really like the shape of the hull.

That's just it though.  It's not the predecessor of the D6.  It didn't make any sense to me either, but the 'D5' was designed after the D7.  Its a New Light Cruiser, the Klingons Counter to the Kearsage/Chicago/Miranda Classes.

Great work!
It doesn't really need "detail" so much as it needs "texture".  You have plenty of details, but the textures seem to be just flat colors.  You definitely need to give the grey hull a metallic texture.  That will make a huge improvement.
