This is long overdue. About time the Excelsior and 1701-B have the amount of detail they deserve!

Great work mate.

What can I say that has not been already said?

This ship, more than any other, exemplified Star Trek in the 80's for me; and you are doing her justice.

Carry on.

Defenetly awsome. I hope you do the B type as well, everyone always mentions the bulge not being right on p81's enterprise B. It's going to look nice next to them akyazi's.

More than just that is wrong. My biggest beefs were the impulse engines and warp nacelles - the former aren't shaped correctly, while the latter are too thin. I'm one of the few who likes the B, but the lapses in detail on P81's model stick out like a sore thumb and make her almost as ugly as its dissenters claim.

well P81 kinda does that, he sacrificed detail because of poly reduction, adonis has no such constraints so expect the most detailed excels made for gaming purposes

The worst infamous trait of P81 meshes are the overexposed panel, butt-ugly textures. Even on he's Excel, which should really be a ship with a smooth hull.

I'll have you a general issue update in a day or two, maybe sooner. Depends oh how hot it will be over here. I can't work at day because of the extreme heat.

I'd love it if we could get a good Enterprise-B out of this affair - the last one was Moonraker's all the way back in 2001. But in this age of high-detail models and textures, it's outdated beyond help.

As for P81's models, his latest Excelsior isn't bad. But the Enterprise-B is horrible. Polygon reduction or not, it gets basic qualities wrong that older models mimicked respectably. I don't mean to be a prat, but it was a disappointing regression beyond the textures.

Maybe I'd be a fan if they kept blue for the detailing on the B instead of switching to teal...

Though for whatever reason, I thought the Excelsior looked best as a Prototype. Must be the NX... *shrug*

And I found this wonderful Render of the B that, hopefully, Adonis can match or surpass with his skills:
