Now.. anyone interested in the Swift/SuperSwift or their Space Dock?  Been thinking of doing those as well.. :)

Arrgg, Atheorhaven, you tempt me so! My love for the ships of S:1999 requires me to answer a resounding "YES!" to your question.

Soon, all we'll need is a flyable Moon model to complete the set! ;)

I don't know about Kreeargh's thoughts, but a landing platform and some sort of docking clamp near the bay doors might make that carrier a PFT...

Actually, that's easier than doing these.. but a whole lot bigger.  :)  Better to have it as a planet model for a battle.  ;)

Swift and SuperSwift will take a bit of tweaking of the mesh (a *lot* of tweaking of the mesh), but I think I can do it.  :D  It'd be a good challenge anyways..

See, that's the thing though, doors for a PFT I'd think would be smaller, you'd have the equivalent of Cobra bays (launch tubes) all along the secondary hull.  They're a lot smaller ship.  Landing bay should be smaller as well, more of a two-tiered deck I'd think at that size..

I've always stuck to the rough size estimate for PFs mentioned in SFB - about 25 to 35 meters, and the shuttlebays on a Connie could barely fit one and close the doors. So, for me, I thought most of a PF flotilla would be hung on external docking clamps, except for when being repaired or such.

Okay, Eagles and Hawks are up at Battleclinic:

http://sfc.battleclinic.com/docks/view.php?id=4865

Includes:
Standard Eagle
Freighter Eagle
Diplomatic Eagle
Medical/Rescue Eagle
VIP Eagle

Also, the new Orange and White Hawk kitbashes .. and Atra's original Eagle archive (as I couldn't ever contact him).  Took me a bit to re-find the Upload page.. I had to finally resort to doing a thread search here to locate the silly thing.

Those that want them, go get them!  TAnimal, used one of your screenies that showed the Eagles and Hawks as the upload pic btw.. :)

Thank you very much

np.. there might be an updated mesh with the Ultra Probe release.. I still need to figure out how to extend the sides of the Eagle to give me the Labratory Eagle.  Once that's done, I'll either upload it by itself, or include it with the Ultra Probe to tie the two sets together.  :)

And I'm pretty sure I can tweak the Eagle mesh enough to work a Swift and SuperSwift too.  But the Space Dock will be a new mesh most likely.. I might be able to use the tanks from the Ultra Probe though to keep things consistent for look.

No need to wait for this one.. Rogue has it up on Battleclinic since 2007.. ;)
http://sfc.battleclinic.com/docks/view.php?id=1383

All I'm trying with it is working on the textures on his work (after all, it's not everyday someone names a ship after you).  Just tying some ideas on it, some of the same things I was doing on "Generations at War" and Atolms USS Alseides as mentioned, but also am going to use this one as the test bed for the SFC3 Transparent texture test I wanted to try.  That side door simply screams to try opening that up via transparent textures.  :D

But it's a good kitbash as is, so feel free to grab it now if you'd like.   I will make the texture pack available once I've completed it if people would like, but I have a subtle modification in mind for public release if I do that.  (Mouahaha)..

Kreeargh, what kind of modifications are you suggesting to make it a PF transport?

Sorry for the late reply, my thoughts had to do with the fasa hornet class fighter i belive its called. Make hangers from the back of the warp pylons and the fuel and rearm ships would deploy from the existing bays you have there.  :-\ If i can find my old hornet fighter i will mock up the idea.
Here is a quick pic modeing needed would be clamps to hold the fighters to the pylons. If the fighters design would allow the wings to fold the ship could carry 12 in to battle with a row on top of the pylons.

You know, I don't think that you'd need to model in pylons if you simply put mag/tractor locks on the pylons.. then they could be textured on and no model work needed.  Really like this idea Kreeargh.. and those fighters are pretty sweet.  I was initially thinking Gow's Penguin, but these look great as well.  :D

Here - texting of the new pylons my thought for the pf carrier.  This with hopes the hornet class fighter could fold wings that is. All just thoughts.  Other fighters could work also. Just more crap thoughts nothing else.

Can you send me over a copy of the modified mesh and fighters?  I'll see if I can't make it work.  With what you have, I'm pretty sure I can do this.  :)

Quick shot for keeping continuity so I know later on what I was working on and when.. ;)

Albion DNH (released)

Federation YCA (in progress)

Also, retext of the Atheorhaven, the Gorkon, potential kitbash to make the Swift and SuperSwifts plus Spacedock from Space 1999.  And no doubt a lot more now that I have my old WIP folders back on my NAS where I can see/reach them again.. (still trying to get my old Windows 2000 modelling laptop booting in a different mode other than Safe Mode).

Oh yes.. and a blast from the past mystery project I re-found after digging through old forum posts... and ongoing work on the TARDIS!

Quick note: should have some time (I think) to work on these this weekend.  With summer coming to a close, work has been super busy and the honey-do list isn't shrinking quickly enough.  :p

Hoping to get the base shapes done for the Swift and Space Dock this weekend...

That was a really nice model, and I still use it. Was always wondering what it would look like as a 3-nacelle dreadnought...
