Nimoy is out of the question. He has retired from acting to be a globe trotting photographer. He was offered, but turned down a guest spot on Shatners' show because he doesn't do "that" anymore.

Takei still looks more like Sulu and Nimoy still looks more like Spock than Shatner looks like Kirk anymore.

If they made TOS today and hired Shatner, he might play Harry Mudd.

seconded. But I wouldn't hire Shatner for a new Trek. Especially not in his time period. It would just be wrong!

Personally, I'd like to see some of his books adapted for the big screen. I think they would work out if done tastefullly and creatively.

Nope. Matt Damon was in the Bourne Identity and Bourne Supremacy, Oceans Eleven remake, Oceans 12, the up coming Oceans 13. He also played the fallen angel Loki in the movie Dogma. He also did Good Will Hunting.

Don't know the name of the guy who's the new Superman.

Why not just sign the entire cast of Ocean's 11, 12 and 13?? Bam instant mega box office!!

Please I beg in the name of all that is holy, cast unknowns for a TOS prequel. Or have a heart and let the franchise die with whatever shred of dignity it may still possess
