There isn't a lot of change between the three designs. There isn't a lot of change between any of the six Enterprise designs on the basic level.  What change there is was mostly cosmetic. The C is an intentional derivative of the D and the Excelsior, the A was a remake of the original, looking at the Excelsior you can see the influence of the A and the E is a mix of all the previous.
Really interesting article on the design of the E.
A balanced mix of the Soulwolf with the Sovereign is more likely to be received favorably.

So you'd be more looking at something like this then?
..ooOOoo..totally useless information..ooOOoo..

More likely something closer to this. Though a little more neck wouldn't hurt.

Hrmm, I find the vulture neck of the Soulwolf overkill I must say. It has so many sharp angles that if it's made redish/orange it would make a good Mirak vessel also. I do like Vipres example though.

To each they're own...

Anyway, here's a revamped version of my old design
Interstellar-Class (in hindsight, I guess its an indirect homage for you Intermech...  ;)  )
Enjoy:

Anyway i might totally refine it some more...dunno though.

Agreed. A very hot design, as are almost all of Atolm's works. It doesn't work for me as an Ent-F design though.  This design has more of a TNG Andromedan design to me. But, as Atolm says, 'to each their own'.

Atolm - I like it and I think it would be an excellent entry for the Darker Projects 1701F it looks like a "Dark Enterprise", sleek and deadly - yet so beautiful it'd make yo lose your breath the first time you saw it against the stars!

Anyone want to try the mesh?

If not -- That top view sketch looks awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!! Atolm, can you do a clearer bottom - front - rear - side sketch and send them off as an entry? Even if it doesn't win maybe the additional sketches will motivate someone enough to fire up Max and make your vision a virtual reality!

Thanks for sharing!

Looks great and would be a groundbreaking Trek design. I wouldn't know where to start as far as meshing it goes. Although, I know who could. I'm not going to throw him under the bus and name names. ;) Looks friggin awesome though.

Ick. Sorry, the Soulwolf just doesn't work with short pylons.

It'd no longer be the Soulwolf if rebuilt like that. It's just an example of what I think a show exec would be more likely to accept as a blend of Sovereign and Soulwolf. I'd prefer something closer to this for a blend.

The pylons aren't much shorter than the original.

Shadowfleet, The Interstellar-class will not be entered...I posted it because you wanted to see it.
I already have an Ent-F...its the Soulwolf.

I like the SoulWolf - I just like the new design better :-[.

Most importantly - neither of the designs is mine, they come from your imagination and skilled work as an artist. Folks may not like everything you design but if they are like me -- they admire everything you design because it sparks our imagination.

Thanks again for sharing. :)

Try this on for size..  it's something I've had hiding in a notebook for a couple of years:

So stand by your glasses ready,
This world is a world of lies,
Here's a toast to the dead already,
And Hurrah! for the next one who dies

Nice spin on Steamrunner lineage, I like it - makes a nice change and logical to see a few other ships with this kind of structure. Not sure if it's Ent-F, but I'd but overjoyed to see it made! :D

Hello ShadowFleet,
I have a 'Shadow Wars' server ready to rock, full of SHADOW ships and many new race ships and bases.. It is a SFC3 534b server.

I'll put it into a Beta test if your interested, should only take 2 weeks for beta test then i'll create the installer.

I have to say my choice is Azel's original Soulwolf. With TUS updating the model, it's a winner for sure. However... the Dark Phoenix design has alot of potential as well.

No respectable modelers would build the Alliance.  The original author of the ship doesn't want it to be duplicated in anyway, and from what I know, he's a very respected person in the general modeling community.  So they respect his wishes.

I've asked about this model before and found all this out.

I would love to see this ship made for either SFC, BC, or even Legacy, but I doubt it'll ever happen.  Not unless you really want some hell to pay.
The pen is truly mightier than the sword.  And considerably easier to write with.

While I like the Dark Phoenix design, it seems like a step backward in design lineage from the Sovereign. I don't envision it as a feasible Ent - F.
